Hi Everybody,

For this blog, I just really wanted to say, “thank you!”  I learn something new in my job all the time.  The biggest thing is that watching you all advocate for your rights to lead better lives, gives me strength on days when I’m not sure I have it in me to advocate for myself.

When I read testimony that so many members wrote, in favor of SUFU’s transportation bill, “LD 464, An Act to Utilize Technology to Facilitate Transportation for People with Disabilities,” and watched members like Tucker Conley & Eric McVay testify in person with such confidence, it made me realize that when we work together, SUFU is very strong and there is no limit to the things we can do!

When we are honest and tell the truth about our lives, we can help so many people!  We can help people who don’t have disabilities understand what our lives are like.  We can also show other people with disabilities that they are not alone, and that we can help each other live lives that we want!

As SUFU members, we also need to be there for each other.  If you think a friend might be having a bad day, asking them how you can help or telling them how much you care about them, can really make a big difference in someone’s life.    All of you have really made a difference in mine.

Until Next Time,
