Today we welcome Stace Atter and James Whitman, both from the Casco Chapter, to our blog. They wanted to share with you all some tips on Maintaining and Making Friends especially during Covid. They are both good at making new friends and maintaining the friendships they have.

Both Stace and James know that keeping friendships, especially during a tough time like Covid, can help us feel less anxious and feel good about ourselves. They share that we are also helping others when we reach out, and It is good to have friends!

They share with us their favorite tips!
Do:
Introduce yourself to a new person.
Show the person around if they are new to an area, like your program or volunteering.
Be presentable and smile.
Be confident! You can do this!
Get out of your comfort zone.

Don’t:
Ask for their telephone number too soon. They might think you are weird. Everyone should be comfortable.
Give out secrets or person information about yourself or someone else.
See if they are on Facebook, and connect with them. Safely get to know them.

Thank you James and Stace!
