Speaking up For Us is offering a FREE training for people who receive HCBS services, and their Community Support staff as settings align their services to the Home and Community Based Settings Rule.
Overview of Training: Life is full of choices, big and small. In order to make choices, people need to know and understand what the options are. This is Informed Choice. To learn more, please join Speaking Up for Us self-advocates and SUFU staff for a free training about Informed Choice, Self-Determination, and Self-Advocacy. The webinar is designed to educate waiver members about how to speak up and advocate for what they want and need and to train direct care staff to promote advocacy and support informed choice.
Audience: People who receive HCBS services and their Community Support staff. Multiple Provider settings are being invited to each session, but group size will be limited to allow for an interactive discussion.
