We continue our leadership Program Series with recent graduates Maryann Preble and Chris Heywood.

Maryann Preble is a member of Central Maine Chapter of Speaking Up For Us and also serves on the Maine Developmental Disability Council. Maryann was looking forward to taking the skills she learned from this training and sharing them not only in her community but also in her role at the Maine Developmental Disability Council.
Maryann shared “I learned about working as a team and team building skills that will help me in my life. I learned how to bring back information and how to help others be a good leader. If you are thinking of taking the leadership class this is a good opportunity to educate people and see if they can be better leader in the future.” We know Maryann is going to put those skills to work in her daily life!

Chris Heywood is a member of York County Chapter of Speaking Up For Us and also serves on the board of directors for SUFU.
Chris shared “I learned a lot about problem solving in the leadership class. I learned to be a leader and to speak up which will help me in my life. Going to the leadership class is fun and a way to develop your leadership skills.” Thank you Chris for sharing!

If you are interested in attending our next leadership class, we are now accepting application for the 2023 Leadership Development Class. Applications are due by April 7th and can be found here.
