We continue to hear from self-advocates that have received their first dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine and are grateful that they want to share that with us.
MaryAnn Preble from the Bangor Chapter, recently received her first dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine.   Here is what she shared with me:

“It was an experience for me to get the COVID-19 vaccine.   People should think about what it could be if they don’t get the vaccine.  When you go they will ask questions and explain to you what they will do.
Once it is done you will have to sit and wait so that you can be monitored.  People should not be afraid to get the vaccine.”

MaryAnn shared that she did not notice any side effects from getting the vaccine.  Thank you MaryAnn for sharing your story with us!

Todd Allaire received his first shot of the covid vaccine.   He said “I did not have problem with getting the shot.  I think people should go get the covid shot.  It is important to get the covid shot.”
